We share the typical places, but also small hidden gems that are left out of most itineraries.
In this travel blog you will find responsible tourism, we are not perfect, but we try to do things well and inspire our readers to do the same.
Who is Alba?
Hi, I'm alba! The creative part of the blog and 'guilty' of starting this project.
If you want to know a little more about me, I'll tell you that I have the stomach that every traveler would like to have, don't feel bad at all! And also, I could fall asleep on a rock, another traveling gift for which I am very grateful.
I'll also tell you that despite being allergic to dogs, I can't resist them.carI love taking photos; it's something I really enjoy about traveling, but afterwards I'm terrible at organizing them. If you want to know more about me, you can. here.
Who is Paul?
Hi, I'm Pau! The incarHaving worked on the more technical and analytical side of the blog has given me a thousand headaches, but each problem teaches me something about this world that I was completely unaware of a few years ago.
I really like to eat and try food of all kinds, although sometimes I have been surprised!
Before arriving in a country you will always see me searching and practicing how to say hello and thank you in the local language. You have to like them so they recommend the best dish and give you the largest portion, right? You can read more of my story. here.
How was travelers born?lowcosteros?
We met 11 years ago, and if we have always liked something it has been traveling without spending a lot, trips lowcost, so when in 2020 we created an Instagram with the intention of sharing our getaways The name could not have been other than travelerslowcosteros!
For a year we spent almost every weekend touring corners of Catalonia with a car that we converted into a camper, but another idea was on our minds, the idea of traveling in style, taking everything saved during the months of the pandemic and going to travel the world.
In September 2021 we created this blog, in October 2021 we left our jobs in Barcelona and On November 5 we embarked towards PeruWe traveled through Latin America for over half a year, and we ignored the blog. Our priority was enjoying the trip and that newfound sense of freedom.
While we were walking Nicaragua It came out for us the opportunity to go to work at Iceland, And we quickly understood that this was the right direction; we didn't want to spend all our savings but rather extend the trip and this nomadic lifestyle as long as possible. After a brief stop in Spain to pick up warm clothes and four months of work at Icelandic hot springs, we returned to the carga. We toured Egypt, several Southeast Asian countries, India and Maldives for 7 intense months. After this second great trip, we returned to Iceland. We continued to love it so much that we extended the summer and stayed until December. This time yes working hard on the blog and on social networks to create the viajeroslowcosteros who we are today.
Since then we have not stopped traveling and working writing guides and tips. In 2024 we traveled South Africa, China, South Korea and Indonesia, we also went back to Thailand and Malaysia for the second time and tried the van life for 3 months in New Zealand, a country that's easy to fall in love with. In 2025, we returned to South America to explore some countries we'd been meaning to visit, like Bolivia and Argentina. We then crossed the border to begin a 4x4 adventure across Australia.
The latest, and very good, news is the two consecutive nominations in the Awards IATI out of 2025 and this 2026 as Finalists for Best Professional Blog of Spain and the Zapping Awards as the best initiative on the web. Without a doubt, it's an extra push to continue creating content and improving our travel guides.
How do we travel so much?
We've probably been asked this question hundreds of times, and it's normal; many people dream of traveling like we do but don't know where to start. It might be because of fear of what others will say, uncertainty about the future, or not knowing how to save the money. each person has their own brakesAnd don't think that we don't have ours, but live traveling it's much easier than many think.
There are many ways to achieve this, and everyone forges their own path little by little. In our case, we've tried everything: traveling full-time using our savings, taking seasonal jobs to earn money, and working online on our blog and social media. To date each stage has been differentAnd that's part of the magic: learning, adapting, and enjoying the process.
