How to visit the Yumbilla Waterfall on your own, Peru
Despite being the fifth highest in the world and the second in Peru, the Yumbilla waterfall does not appear in almost any tourist guide to Peru. It is not even the best-known waterfall in the area, since Gocta It gets all the fame and attracts all the tourists.

HOW TO GO TO YUMBILLA FROM CHACHAPOYAS

Along the way you'll find several viewpoints where you can take a break and observe the jungle from a slightly higher vantage point. BEST BY PERIOD TO GO TO THE YUMBILLA WATERFALL
The best time to visit Yumbilla is the extremes of the dry season, that is, the months of May – June and October – November. The route at that time is much simpler and the risk of it raining halfway is low, but as the rainy season has just ended or the waterfall's flow is just beginning, it will be greater than in months like August.
If you want to see it in full swing you can do this route between January and March. But you'll have to be prepared for very muddy roads and possibly give up some scenery for low clouds.
